Quiropractic

When you’re sick,

look first

your spine”

Hippocrates

Hippocrates already said it a long, long time ago.

This type of therapy was developed in the United States in 1895 by David Daniel Palmer, who treated a man who was deaf, Hervey Lillard. Noticing a prominent vertebra in his upper spine, he made an adjustment, and soon after, Mr. Lillard began to hear again. It was his son, B.J. Palmer who produced the expansion of this technique.

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic  is a type of alternative medicine that diagnoses vertebral subluxations (VSC). This does not mean a misalignment or that a vertebra is out of place, but rather that the range of motion (ROM) is not adequate compared to normal ROM.

When we find this situation, an adjustment is made to return a normal ROM to that joint. In this way we are providing good communication between the brain and the body, and thus the necessary tools to heal itself.

We are establishing that proper connection of the entire nervous system.

We mainly work with the axial skeleton (vertebral column and pelvis), which is why it is normal to speak of a subluxated vertebral complex, although also with the extremities, having a specific effect on the nervous system.

You feel, diagnose and adjust with your hands, which is why it is a type of non-invasive therapy and that, in addition, the effects of making an adjustment are noticeable instantly.

The benefits are not only focused on the musculoskeletal system (which of course are great for athletes or those with some kind of musculoskeletal problem), it also acts on the digestive, respiratory, reproductive systems, and, of course, any pathology of the nervous system such as horner’s syndrome, etc.

One or more vertebrae can align, they can barely move and, even so, they can cause health complications and even death, if they are not adjusted
